I find that my teaching style may be slightly too influenced by his creative approach to presenting history. Of course, I am not dropping F-Bombs every couple words… but I believe that this proves that History classes is not about the material, instead how the material is taught.
Once again… Google rocks. This toolbar helps both teachers and students alike as they research on the web.
A fascinating video. It is amazing what is happening with the democratization of knowledge, which is one of the most important advancements of the 21st century.
This raises questions for us as educators:
- What is our role in this new system?
- What do we need to do to change and morph to embrace and build onto these new platforms, to make sure that we do not stand in opposition to this new wave of chage?
What could we learn from Caroline Casey about what is best for our Special Needs students? Are we doing what is best for them or are we setting them up for failure? What would she say about our schools?
How awesome would it be to apply this level of creativity and effort into our schools?
